Creating a New Exam

Complete guide to setting up exams for your students

Navigate to Exams Page

Click on "Exams" in the sidebar menu, then click the "Create Exam" button at the top of the page.

Fill in Exam Details

Provide the basic information about your exam:

  • Exam Title: Clear, descriptive name (e.g., "Mathematics Midterm 2026")
  • Subject: The subject area being tested
  • Duration: Time limit in minutes
  • Total Marks: Maximum possible score
  • Passing Score: Minimum score to pass
  • Instructions: Guidelines for students

Set Schedule

Define when students can take the exam:

Start Date & Time

When the exam becomes available

End Date & Time

Deadline for submission

Add Questions

Create your exam questions. Supported question types:

Multiple Choice

Students select one correct answer from options

True/False

Simple binary choice questions

Short Answer

Text-based responses requiring manual grading

Essay

Long-form answers with detailed responses

Assign to Students

Choose who can take the exam:

  • Select specific students individually
  • Assign to entire classes or grades
  • Use filters to target specific groups

Review and Publish

Double-check all details, then click "Publish Exam". Students will be notified and can access it during the scheduled time.

✓ Success: Your exam is now live and students can begin taking it during the scheduled period.
