Editing Student Information

Learn how to update and modify student records

Find the Student

Go to the Students page and locate the student you want to edit. You can:

  • Use the search bar to find by name or ID
  • Filter by class or grade level
  • Scroll through the student list

Open Edit Mode

Click on the student's row or the "Edit" button (pencil icon) next to their name. This will open the edit form with their current information.

Update Information

Modify any of the following fields as needed:

Personal Details

  • • Full Name
  • • Date of Birth
  • • Contact Number
  • • Email Address

Academic Details

  • • Student ID
  • • Class/Grade
  • • Enrollment Status
  • • Address

Save Changes

After making your changes, click the "Save" or "Update" button. The system will validate your changes and update the record.

💡 Tip: Changes are saved immediately and will be reflected across the entire system.

What You Can Edit

✓ Editable Fields

Name, contact info, class, address, and most personal details can be updated anytime.

⚠️ Restricted Fields

Student ID and email may be restricted depending on your role and system settings.

✗ Cannot Edit

Registration date, exam history, and system-generated data cannot be manually changed.

Permission Requirements

Different roles have different editing permissions:

Admin Full editing access to all fields
Registrar Can edit all student information
Secretary Can edit most fields except sensitive data
Bursar Can edit financial and contact information
